We were established in 2004 in the aftermath of severe Arabian Sea cyclone storm surges. What began as volunteer doctors renting local wooden fishing boats has grown into an enduring frontline medical and community defense foundation.
Q.Do you work only in South Asia?
While our foundational work is rooted in the coastal estuaries of Pakistan and Bangladesh, our mobile clinic model operates across East Africa (including Lake Victoria islands in Kenya) and Southeast Asian mangrove coastlines facing immediate climate displacement.
Q.Are you independent of government and state funding?
Yes, completely. Ninety-one percent of our funding comes directly from individual donors, families, and community groups. We accept zero political grants or bilateral state funds, guaranteeing our doctors treat patients strictly based on human medical necessity.
Q.How do you choose where to deploy clinic boats and aid?
We deploy solely to remote frontline settlements where residents are cut off by tidal surges or geographical barriers from mainland hospitals. If a village is already served by a permanent public clinic, we divert resources elsewhere.
Q.How is my donation used?
Eighty-four cents of every dollar goes directly into field operations: boat diesel, sterile birthing kits, pediatric vaccines, antibiotics, and cooperative grants. Twelve cents powers ethical grassroots fundraising, and four cents covers certified audits.
Q.Can I give on a monthly recurring basis?
Yes. In fact, monthly gifts are our lifeblood. They allow our maritime logistics coordinators to plan boat clinic routes months in advance and order wholesale medicines before seasonal monsoon storms shut down port transport.
Q.Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes. Tideline Foundation is an incorporated tax-exempt charitable trust (Reg. #TDL-2004-0417). We provide compliant donation receipts for all individual contributions.
Q.How do I know my donation reaches the field?
We publish full, unredacted independent audit reports, detailed program balance sheets, and impact evaluations every year on our website for direct public download.
Q.How do I report a suspicious message or scam using your name?
Tideline Foundation will never ask for personal bank passwords, cryptocurrency payments, or wire transfers via personal social media messages. Please report suspicious outreach immediately to compliance@tidelinefoundation.org.
